At Trendsetter Media our quality control starts right from the beginning:
we selectively sort through returned empty toner cartridges and only remanufacture
cartridges that are of high quality based on external appearance and condition
of the internal parts. This is to ensure that the customer receives a high
quality remanufactured product that has a near new appearance.
Our cartridge cleaning workstation is driven by high powered 10 BAR Pilot
Air Compressor to ensure all remaining toner is removed. Mixing old and
new toner can result in printing defects such as burring and smudging.
A typical toner cartridge comprises numerous essential working parts.
These parts are removed from the cartridge and are process cleaned with
specific solvents that do not damage the coatings and surfaces.
All cartridges are a combination of new and old parts and are fitted with new super drums, wiper
blades, mag sleeves, felts, seals and bushes. Doctor
blades are replaced in some cartridges depending on wear. Additionally,
some type of cartridges are fitted with a new top cover to make them more user friendly.

All Ecotrend cartridges are resealed prior to being reloaded with premium
Toner, in the re-assembly process, topping toner is applied
to the mag sleeve so all cartridges can be print tested prior to bar coding
and packaging.
Each cartridge is subjected to a proprietary Trendsetter Media print process.
This involves a 6 page series of test patterns, run twice. Each of the
6 pages in the series is designed to test specific component functionality
to guarantee 100% quality control of product.
Finally a bar code is applied to the cartridge for future quality tracking.
The toner cartridge is now heat sealed in a plastic bag and placed in
a specifically designed insert to protect the cartridge from damage in
transit. The insert and cartridge are now placed into Ecotrend boxes ready
for sale.
